HP Inc. have announced the HP One Package workflow suite for PageWIde Industrial corrugated presses, the industry’s first ecosystem for digital corrugated printing. HP One Package offers software and solutions from HP and partners to help converters maximize the flexibility of digital production.

MIS software company, Tharstern, have just launched a brand-new tool that they say will solve a big problem for the printing industry. Their new Layout Library will allow printers to teach their MIS how to lay down impositions in the correct way for their equipment and processes. This will remove the need for prepress to manually adjust or change the impositions sent down by the MIS.

Released just two months ago, the new tilia Griffin Pro App has already scooped a major industry award for its developer, Tilia Labs. The company, a leading developer of planning, imposition, and automation software solutions for the graphic arts industries, received the award on May 16th during the Fespa 2018 show in Berlin.

EFI has introduced two milestone digital print workflow solutions at FESPA 2018 in Berlin: a new version of Fiery® Command WorkStation® and Fiery XF 7, an updated digital front end (DFE) for EFI wide and superwide format inkjet printers.

When using the Kongsberg Feeder and Stacker, the camera scans the underside of the sheet to locate registration marks, barcodes containing set-up instructions, and the corner of the sheet. It is then able to cut and crease accurately by calculating where the registration marks are in reference to the corner, with limited or no operator intervention.

Dublin, Ireland-based Smurfit Kappa Group (LSE:SKG) - Europe's leading corrugated packaging company - is partnering with Silicon Valley printing technology company Electronics For Imaging, Inc. (Nasdaq:EFII) to establish an efficient, robust digital corrugated packaging production offering with the installation of an EFI™ Nozomi C18000 single-pass LED inkjet corrugated packaging press.
