The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) is accepting entries for its annual Product of the Year competition through August 2. Exclusive to PRINTING United exhibitors, and judged by a panel of industry experts, the competition awards the leading products in the market across 87 printing categories.

Education will be key to the PRINTING United experience, with 96 conference sessions, three pre-show intensive workshops and dozens of show-floor amphitheater presentations.

The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association’s (SGIA) second iteration of its FP3: Functional Printing, Process & Products Conference (May 5 - 7) brought industry leaders to Itasca, Ill., for curated education on innovations, strategies and technologies for today’s functional and industrial printing businesses. FP3 also offered special networking events, including a tour of local package printer PrintSure’s facility.

Recently, Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) Director of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Affairs Gary Jones assisted an SGIA member facing well over $30,000 in fines for hazardous waste management violations from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management. Working in concert with the member and their attorney, Jones provided extensive technical support that ultimately led to an 85% reduction in the penalty.
