EFI has bought its way into the digital inkjet textile space with the strategic acquisition of Reggiani Macchine. Based in Bergamo, Italy, Reggiani's inkjet technologies, which will be rebranded as EFI Reggiani, address the full scope of advanced textile printing, with versatile printers suitable for water based dispersed, acid, pigment and reactive dye printing inks.

EFI has given its Fiery digital front ends (DFE) for digital printing systems a significant boost with the latest EFI Fiery FS200 Pro by giving users what it calls an extremely productive, intuitive platform with expanded colour capability.

It’s not often you get two printing companies working together to achieve the same aim, but when AutoRAI, the largest automobile event in the Netherlands, required 14,000 m2 of printed matter to promote 500 different cars, competing large format printing companies, M2 Printing and Exposize, combined their expertise to deliver head-turning, yet visually consistent show displays.

Europe's largest online print provider, Flyeralarm, has purchased a fully automated EFI VUTEK HS100 Pro high speed press at FESPA. The new press will allow Flyeralarm to expand the super wide applications in its portfolio of online services.

FESPA 2015 sees EFI introducing a dedicated, production-class roll-to-roll printer, and its fastest printer on the market. The new VUTEk HSr LED/UV Pin & Cure imaging press is a 3.2 m high-speed roll-to-roll printer that targets the replacement of older solvent printers for the high-volume production of vehicle wraps, lorry sides, banners, posters and more.

Manchester based trade only printer SuperWide Digital has invested in a VUTEk GS5500LXr Pro five-metre roll to roll LED-curing machine from EFI, which will sit alongside two existing VUTEk wide format flatbed and roll fed LED-curing printers. This is the second printer the company has purchased from EFI in as many months.

Printix, a large-format digital print provider based in Mechelen, Belgium is the first company in the country to purchase the EFI VUTEk GS3250LXr Pro roll-to-roll LED printer. The company plans to use the printer to create new applications in new markets using co-developed 3M SuperFlex UV inks.

Perfect Colours has struck a new strategic partnership with EFI which will see the company supply and support two of its popular, innovative hybrid wide format printers to businesses throughout the UK.
Effective immediately, the London-based reseller now offers the EFI H1625 LED wide-format printer and EFI VUTEk H2000 Pro printer and will present the first of these on its stand, C10, at Sign and Digital UK next week.
