EFI Have announced the availability of a new EFI™ Fiery® digital front end (DFE) for the Xerox® iGen® 5 Press. The Xerox EX-P 5 Print Server Powered by Fiery first made its debut at PRINT 17. The new Fiery DFE supports the iGen 5 Press' new White Dry Ink capability, and is the first commercially available DFE on the new Fiery FS300 Pro platform.

EFI and Xeikon have announced they have entered into an exclusive partnership for the EFI™ Jetrion® digital label and narrow web inkjet printing systems. Under the partnership, Xeikon will service, support and supply the worldwide Jetrion customer base, and continue the direct sales of Jetrion digital label printing systems as part of the Xeikon portfolio of digital dry toner and UV inkjet presses for the self-adhesive label market.

Foster will introduce a powered version of its popular On-a-Roll Lifter® Jumbo at SGIA 2017, October 10-12, in New Orleans. The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) in Toronto, Canada recently installed “Face of Canada,” The Canada 150 Commemorative Edition, by Robert Young. This special textile artwork from his ”Young World Faces” collection was produced in Electronics For Imaging’s Meredith, N.H., inkjet technology facility using an EFI™ VUTEk® FabriVU® soft signage printer. The photograph, which features a Canadian citizen with the Nation’s flag painted on her face, was displayed last month in the ROM’s Hyacinth Gloria Chen Crystal Court as part of the museum’s Canada 150 festival programs.

Display graphics provider Image Options has updated its production graphics offering, installing four new EFI™ VUTEk® superwide-format printers from EFI™.
