CMYUK is delighted to announce that Tim Boore has joined their expanding organisation as Digital Sales Consultant. Tim’s knowledge and experience in digital print production is unrivalled in the industry, leveraging his extensive skills gained during 19 years at Image Factory, where as Head of Digital Technologies, he was responsible for converting all of their analogue screen printing lines over to digital. He is well-known for his creative, structural design and process implementation skills with industry-leading software and automation tools.

Founded by Mr. Edouard Borney in 1880, Borney started off in textiles, moving on to flags and banners in the 1920s, and finally expanding into printed fabrics in the 1980s. BorneyUK was established in 1993 and celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, as well as 138 years of growth for the company as a whole.

Following on from the success of last year, CMYUK will once again be at The Print Show, held at The NEC Birmingham from 18–20 September. As digital print continues to thrive and develop, the show gives visitors the opportunity to experience the latest print and finishing technologies, new materials and workflow efficiency software solutions supplied by CMYUK, the UK’s largest independent supplier of wide-format digital printers, cutting equipment and materials.

London-based Park Communications is widely known as the city’s preeminent printer. This was put to the test recently when they were contacted by Askew, a creative consultancy and design studio based in New York, at 10:30pm and asked to produce three high-quality fashion posters mounted on 1/4" white foamcore (24x36in), needed the following day.

Delightful Living, based in Derbyshire, makes bespoke personalised signs and gifts for the home and garden. Having started by hand-painting everything, they have been working with UV print technology since 2013. Embracing new technology in the form of a Mimaki UJF3042HG and Kebab, purchased from CMYUK, has enabled them to scale and grow their business while still retaining a handmade element to the finishing process.

Leading online store, Selectequip, has recently refurbished their Wakefield sign company and subsequently been shortlisted for a best small business award. The new showroom-type environment allows business clients to view their capabilities in a comfortable surrounding while also allowing them to hold their own meetings in the new 16-seater boardroom. With strong growth over the last 18 months, Selectequip’s investment in a Mimaki JFX200-2531 and Kongsberg X24 Starter, purchased from CMYUK, has allowed them to keep up with increasing demand.

Esko’s UK team hosted a successful Open House in Leicester earlier this month, with partners Data Image, Clarity Software and reseller CMYUK. With over 80 customers attending, the event was staged to showcase the latest Esko C66 digital cutting table with the new Robotic Material Handler, as well as Esko’s fully Automated workflow solutions.
