EFI have announced that Dome, a commercial print solutions provider headquartered in California, recently purchased EFI™ VUTEk® FabriVU® 340 soft signage and VUTEk 5r roll-to-roll printers. The new high-volume inkjet printers are to be installed in Dome’s newly renovated, Sacramento, Calif., facility by the end of this year.

San Francisco signage and graphics company SF Landmark is meeting surging demand for textile-printed soft signage with the installation of an EFI™ VUTEk® FabriVU® 340 dyesublimation printer from Electronics For Imaging, Inc. With production speeds of up to 5,381 square feet per hour and print widths of up to 133 inches wide, the printer uses genuine EFI water-based CMYK dispersed dye inks to produce brilliant displays, high-density backlit signs and more, with ultra-high resolution four-color printing.

Designated the Power Jumbo, the new lifter eliminates the manual effort required to lift the large substrate rolls used with EFI and VUTEk wide format and superwide printers, EFI Reggiani textile printers, and a wide variety of similar roll-fed printers. With the Power Jumbo, printer operators and shop floor personnel can effortlessly manoeuvre rolls as heavy as 990 lbs (450 kg) and with roll diameters as great as 19.6 inches (50 cm). With the Power Jumbo, shop personnel no longer need to use overhead cranes or forklifts near delicate electronic printers and expensive substrate.

Display graphics provider Image Options has updated its production graphics offering, installing four new EFI™ VUTEk® superwide-format printers from EFI™. The acquisitions include a VUTEk FabriVU® 340 3.4-meter printer and a VUTEk FabriVU 520 5.2-meter printer for soft signage production, as well as two VUTEk HS125 Pro hybrid roll/flatbed high-speed inkjet presses.

EFI have installed two new printers at Paris-based superwide graphics provider METROPOLE: a 5-metre EFI™ VUTEk® FabriVU®520 soft signage printer and an EFI VUTEk LX3 Pro hybrid roll/flatbed LED inkjet printer.
