Business growth will be the topic of the day at the Functional and Industrial Printing Luncheon at PRINTING United (Dallas; October 23 - 25, 2019). The luncheon, organized by the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association’s (SGIA) Industrial Applications and Printed Electronics Committee, takes place on Wednesday, October 23, from 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM.

As installers put their skills to the test at the PRINTING United PDAA Pro Team Relay, they’ll be under the watchful eye of some renowned industry experts. Jeremy Conner, Owner, Who Did That Inc., and Chad Huhman, Owner, CNJ Signs and Wraps, are on deck to judge the competition at the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) and NAPCO Media’s latest iteration of the SGIA Expo, taking place in Dallas October 23 - 25.

Last week marked the eighth year the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) and industry leaders have teamed up to support students participating in the Graphics Imaging–Sublimation and Screen Printing Technology competitions at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC). SGIA and its members coordinated, judged and provided $75,000 in prizes and stipends to the secondary and post-secondary student participants.

The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) is accepting submissions from its members for the 2019 Golden Image Competition, which recognizes the best in printing across 53 categories. All entries will be displayed and judged in the Golden Image Gallery at PRINTING United, the latest iteration of the SGIA Expo, produced by SGIA and NAPCO Media and coming to Dallas October 23 - 25.

The show-floor excitement at PRINTING United (October 23 - 25, Dallas) will extend beyond the 600-plus exhibitors when installers put their skills to the test in the PDAA Pro Team Relay at booth 7250. The two-day (October 23 and 24) special event will see two-person installer teams competing in a series of testing stations in hopes of ultimately winning $2,000.

In addition to its 96 educational sessions, PRINTING United — the latest iteration of the SGIA Expo — will feature three half-day intensive workshops on Tuesday, October 22, the day before its official kickoff in Dallas. Complementing the robust agenda throughout the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) and NAPCO Media’s expo (October 23 - 25), the intensives will highlight opportunities, strategies and insights setting businesses across the entire printing industry up for success.

Sustainability stories are on the agenda at the Sustainability Strategies Luncheon: Inside and Out, hosted by the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) on October 23 at PRINTING United (Dallas, October 23 - 25). However, these aren’t the “sustainability journey” stories commonly heard at such events.

Convergence, where print service providers (PSPs) offer services and products beyond their traditional scope, showed up significantly in the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association’s (SGIA) Quarterly Industry Benchmarking Report, which focused on markets and products.

Brian Adam, President and Owner of Olympus Group, will address the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association’s (SGIA) Apparel Decorators Luncheon October 23 at PRINTING United (Dallas, October 23 - 25, 2019). The luncheon takes place from 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM.

With the support of member volunteers and donors, the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) will participate for its eighth year in the upcoming SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC) (June 24 - 28; Louisville, Ky.), a hands-on competition for career and technical education students. SGIA staff and members will coordinate, judge and provide prizes and stipends for the event’s Graphics Imaging–Sublimation and Screen Printing Technology competitions.

With the generous support of industry donors, the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) proudly announces its 2019 scholarship recipients. Out of 67 applicants, the association awarded 20 SGIA Educational Institution Member students with $2,000 each.

The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) is accepting conference session proposals for Graphics of the Americas (GOA) (Miami, February 27 - 29, 2020). Submissions will be accepted through June 28.

Ariel Swedroe, a 15-year-old fashion designer, will start the day on an inspirational note as the Women in Print Alliance Breakfast’s keynote speaker on October 24 at 7:30 AM at PRINTING United (October 23 - 25, Dallas).

The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) is accepting entries for its annual Product of the Year competition through August 2. Exclusive to PRINTING United exhibitors, and judged by a panel of industry experts, the competition awards the leading products in the market across 87 printing categories.

Education will be key to the PRINTING United experience, with 96 conference sessions, three pre-show intensive workshops and dozens of show-floor amphitheater presentations.
