Color-Logic has certified the HP Indigo 30000 digital press for metallic carton applications. Confirming the certification, Color-Logic CTO Richard Ainge commented: "Test forms and samples files from the HP Indigo 30000 have confirmed the ability of the press to produce all Color-Logic decorative effects and our 250 metallic colors with excellent results. The digital HP Indigo 30000 also enables brands to take advantage of Color-Logic Security-FX techniques in the design and use of variable metallic data for addition security capabilities. The Print Show has announced details of a special open day on April 11th that will allow guests that include exhibitors current and prospective, as well as the trade press and industry bodies, to take in some of London’s most famous landmarks and find out more about what is in store at this year’s exhibition.

NEC Graph-Fix Ltd, a UK-based visual communications specialist, added an HP Scitex 11000 Industrial Press to their existing HP Scitex portfolio in January 2018. BarkerBlue recently purchased a Scitex FB750 printer in a move to increase productivity for its digital imaging and printing business, and for its growing Silicon Valley customer-base. This newest addition to BarkerBlue’s wide-format printers bumps print capacity from 65-inch to 98-inch-wide printing on rigid or flexible substrate. The new printer also enables the Bay-Area-based company to deliver increased output with enhanced quality. The HP Scitex increases commitment to accurate color calibration and quality color management across BarkerBlue’s imaging platforms (including HP Latex and HP-Indigo Devices).

Throughout history, technology has provided artists with new tools for expression. Where would Andy Warhol have been without silk screen printing and David Hockney without the Polaroid? Digital printing now offers artists new ways to create and sell art. Digitally printed artwork is rapidly increasing in popularity and acceptance—galleries, hotels, offices, restaurants, casinos and other venues are huge markets for giclée prints and other digitally printed fine art. Many photographers and fine artists embrace digital printing of their images as a form of expression, or as an additional way to market their work at reasonable prices.

HP have launched the HP DesignJet T1700 printer, the next-generation 44-inch solutions for CAD and geographic information system (GIS) workgroups to produce highly accurate documents and maps with powerful processing and a new level of security.
