Roland DG says that following the announcement of its Better Business Experience Day the company has received a fantastic response in pre-registrations. It goes to show just how much the industry values the chance to expand their knowledge, and as such, several of Roland DG’s expert sessions, running throughout the day, are now limited in availability.

Roland DG UK is to host a Better Business Experience Day at its Clevedon HQ on the 16th of September 2015 from 10am-7pm. Here the company aims to inspire, teach and motivate veteran, new and potential Roland users through multiple workshops, seminars and hands-on time with a variety of industry experts.

International Expo-Consults (IEC) is the organiser Sign and Graphics Imaging (SGI Dubai) in the Middle East and Asia Pacific region. Avery Dennison has kicked off its summer ‘Wrap Like a King’ vehicle wrap challenge which runs until 30th September. Vehicle wrap installers from 42 countries around the globe can now submit commercial or colour change wrap projects which will be judged by a panel of industry experts such as West Coast Customs CEO Ryan Friedlinghaus.

Mimaki says it is set to participate in Labelexpo Europe 2015 this September where the company will display a range of unique new products for the label market that can be created with the Mimaki family of printers.

Kiss Lajos from Hungary has retained his title of FESPA World Wrap Master for the second year running, at FESPA 2015 Global Expo (18-22 May 2015) in Cologne. Marco Dittl from Germany and Jeremy Gayet from France, took second and third place, respectively.

The recent FESPA 2015 Global Expo in Cologne has smashed attendance records by drawing the largest total audience ever for a FESPA event, with 43,775 visits over the five days of the show, an increase of 17% compared with the previous flagship FESPA event in London in 2013.

As such the Rotterdam based company placed the first order worldwide for AEG’s Sprinter bespoke wide format system to provide the high speed and colour quality the company was looking for.

Mimaki has again been recognised at FESPA 2015 with a European Digital Press Association (EDP) award for ‘Best Print and Cut Solution’. The Mimaki CJV150 Series brings simultaneous print/cut operations to an affordable entry-level printer at a print speed of up to 56.2 square meters per hour. The award was accepted by Mike Horsten, general manager Marketing of Mimaki EMEA, at a special awards ceremony held during the show.

According to HP you are looking at the next chapter of the HP Latex industrial revolution. The company’s latest printer - launched at FESPA 2015 - is designed for high-volume, dedicated application production, delivering what HP says are new levels of productivity and operational efficiency for sign and display print providers.

FESPA 2015 sees EFI introducing a dedicated, production-class roll-to-roll printer, and its fastest printer on the market. The new VUTEk HSr LED/UV Pin & Cure imaging press is a 3.2 m high-speed roll-to-roll printer that targets the replacement of older solvent printers for the high-volume production of vehicle wraps, lorry sides, banners, posters and more.

Fujifilm has announced the launch of an advanced new UV ink technology at FESPA 2015, called Uvijet OW. The newly launched ink range, which is used in the Inca Onset series, has been developed specifically with improved adhesion properties so that it can be used on a wider range of rigid and flexible plastic substrates.

Roland DG is planning to create a further ‘zone’ for FESPA 2015 with the Virtual Reality Zone. The news comes on the back of the recent announcement that Roland is to compartmentalise its FESPA stand into five technology zones supported by a vast array of creative samples.

Agfa says two new members of the high-end Jeti inkjet printer family will make their European debut at FESPA 2015. The new Jeti Mira 2.7-meter wide six-colour and white UV-inkjet printer (above), featuring a moving gantry, and the new Jeti Tauro, a 2.5-meter wide high-end hybrid six-color UV inkjet printer, plus white or primer.
