Graduates in CMYUK’s Creatives in Residence Live (CIRL) initiative are about to embark on their first design brief. Entitled Abstract Florals, the three surface designers have until November 5th to produce an A3 swatch book, 3 x wallpaper designs, 3 x natural, and 3 x polyester printed fabrics inspired by florals and verdure.

During the upcoming FESPA Global Print Expo 2021 (12 to 15 October), Summa will be cooperating with several exhibitors to establish a micro-factory. It will show the future of apparel manufacturing in an On-Demand Apparel Microfactory.

Mimaki is set to open the door to new high-value, high-quality industrial print applications with the launch of its latest product innovations. The company has today (7th September) unveiled four new high-speed, high-quality direct-to-object LED UV inkjet printers – the 190% faster UJF-7151 plusII and the new UJF-MkII e Series, comprising three advanced, small format solutions.

Label manufacturer and engraving expert, Matform has installed a Mimaki UJF-7151 Plus next generation direct-to-object flatbed LED UV printer from CMYUK. The investment replaces a decade-old Mimaki UJF-3042 FX and significantly expands the company’s capabilities and applications reach.

The wrapping of this arcade game was done in 10 easy steps. This wrap was printed on Mimaki's latest eco-solvent printer, the JV100-160, and laminated with Mimaki's LA-160W heat-assisted laminator. The panels were cut with Mimaki's CG-FX Plus cutter plotter. The digital media used for this application was Mactac REBEL RB528H High Tack and the laminate was PERMACOLOR ColorGard LUV 8200.

Brett Martin is pleased to announce that Mimaki Europe BV, manufacturer of large format printing equipment, is the latest company to join its Approved Partner Programme.
