The Russian printer azimutprint won two Awards on the international competition organized every year by FINAT (European Association for Self-Adhesive Labels) for 2 labels embellished on digital press: the MGI JETvarnish 3D Web.

The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) has chosen two Durst large-format digital printers as “2018 Product of the Year” in their respective categories. The Durst Rhotex 325 dual-purpose fabric & soft-signage printer received the honor in the Roll-to-Roll Direct Disperse Ink on Textile category and the Delta WT 250 was awarded best RTR/Hybrid/Flatbed New Technology or Inkset category.

Ricoh Europe PLC is again celebrating the Keypoint Intelligence Buyer’s Lab seal of approval for two of its print production solutions. The Ricoh Pro™ C9200 has been named BLI’s Outstanding High-Volume Colour Production Device and the Ricoh Pro™ C7200x Series is BLI’s Outstanding Mid-Volume Colour Production Device.

In a ceremony immediately preceding PRINT 18 in Chicago, the Color-Logic Touch7 Neon Suite was designed a RED HOT Technology. More importantly, the Touch7 Neon Suite received the coveted Vanguard Breakthrough Award, presented only to products considered 'game changers.' The Touch7 Neon Suite is one of only five entries to gain the recognition, and is one of only nine recognized products in the entire Vanguard program. Commenting on the award, Richard Ainge--Color-Logic CTO and the inventor of the Touch7 Neon Suite--observed: "In selecting Touch7, PRINT 18 management recognized the importance and timeliness of neon inks at the show. With Touch7, graphic designers can easily and confidently produce files to take advantage of the fluorescent inks just now entering the market."

Innovations by Avery Dennison, Hamillroad Software and RotoMetrics were among the category winners honored at this year’s prestigious Label Industry Global Awards, which took place on 25 September at Joe’s Live in Rosemont, Chicago, as part of Labelexpo Americas 2018.

The program rates suppliers in four key areas of activity: environmental, fair business, supply chain, and labor practice. The program’s overall objective is to engage suppliers in a continuous improvement process related to sustainability.
