Caldera appoints Four Pees as distributor for the Benelux

March 13, 2019

Caldera, the French RIP software expert, is happy to announce the appointment of Four Pees as its distributor for the Benelux region. Four Pees, an international distributor of software solutions for collaboration, automation and quality optimization in the print and publishing industry, has extensive experience with software solutions for the large format printing market. This partnership will become effective on April 1, 2019.

With Four Pees as a distributor, Caldera can count on a local team to support its resellers and end-users both from a technical and commercial point of view - even better than before. Four Pees has a complete range of web-to-print, PDF processing, automation and colour management products already in its portfolio and has previous experience with RIP solutions. As such, it is very well placed to help Caldera implementing its holistic vision on large format printing workflow.

The initial focus will be to further roll out Caldera version 12. Version 12 has been configured to offer an enhanced user experience by bridging the gap between design and business. The suite also includes Digital Licences and CalderaDock, new tools that allow users quick access to what they need. On the functionality front, faster processing speeds and better colours will enhance productivity, and there is an extended range of user applications.

Beyond getting the most out of Caldera’s RIP, Four Pees can assist resellers and customers converting Caldera’s SportsFactory concept into a practically usable, lean manufacturing workflow from online order intake, over production automation and colour management to print.

“We were looking for a strong distribution partner which is printer manufacturing independent and has extensive experience in the market with both resellers and end-users”, comments Eric Mendiharat, Regional Sales & Service Director for the region EMEA at Caldera. “Four Pees has these skills and a very complementary product portfolio. We believe this represents a significant business opportunity for us, but even more for our partners and customers.”

“With the addition of Caldera, we will be able to provide turnkey solutions for the full variety of large format applications from banner and sign, over garnment and other textile applications to industrial printing”, says Tom Peire, CEO at Four Pees. “Caldera is a market leader in its domain and we are proud to represent them. Apart from its rock solid RIP and colour management capabilities, we particularly appreciate the flexible, open way of introducing automation and integrating Caldera into third-party web-to-print, MIS and automation solutions through its JDF- based Nexio product.” Reducing manual labor and repetitive tasks isn’t always attainable with a single product. That’s why Four Pees proposes different solutions that you can gradually implement as building blocks of a complete solution or, with the help of one of our integrators, link together in your existing environment.

From March 26-28, Caldera and Four Pees will be exhibiting at Sign & Print Expo in Gorinchem (Netherlands), where they will be showing the new Caldera v12 and the SportsFactory concept for the first time in the Benelux. Visit us at booth G103:
