Enfocus, the leader in PDF quality control, advanced PDF editing and workflow automation for the graphic arts industry; and Avanti, the market leader in Print MIS software; today announced a collaborative partnership toward providing integrated solutions for customer success. The partnership is anchored on an integration between Enfocus Switch and Avanti Slingshot®.

“Avanti is well-known for boosting the efficiency of a print shop, making important data about jobs available at each stage of production,” said Patrick Bolan President and CEO, Avanti Systems, “and Enfocus products enhances the quality and processing of the job itself. By using both systems, customers can take their businesses to a whole new level.”

The combined solution automates repetitive tasks and reduces the number of touch points associated with receiving, sorting, processing and approving PDF files for print. There are no user touch points and all manual work to enter job and production details is completely eliminated, freeing staff time for more valuable activities and allowing print operators to focus on their customers, shortening turnaround time by moving files immediately to the right place and reducing the potential for errors.

Integration with Switch

Avanti Slingshot® is seen as the industry’s most open Print MIS, allowing best-in-breed software to come together to form a simplified, highly customizable solution delivering the optimal workflow for a print shop provider. Communication between Avanti Slingshot® and Enfocus Switch enables fully automated workflow; from job processing, production and fulfilment through to distribution; eliminating costly, time-consuming manual steps. Users benefit from the strength of the combined solution developed for the purpose of working together for a more stable, powerful, yet flexible workflow. The integration also includes the Enfocus PDF Review module, a simple yet extremely powerful and cost-effective solution for review and approval/rejection of native PDF files, and PitStop Server for the automated preflight and correction of PDF files.

“Our customers are telling us that in this highly competitive print market, they are looking for every opportunity to profitably grow their lines of business. In response, our partnership with Enfocus and the Avanti Slingshot® integration with Switch 2018 allows our customers to realize the financial benefits of end-to-end automation.,” said Bolan.

The Enfocus and Avanti partnership has already seen industry recognition having been honoured by the Association for Print Technologies as a Red Hot Technology at PRINT 18 which gives acknowledgement to print communications technology game-changers. The advantage that this partnership will bring to customers is confidence in knowing that the joint solution was purpose-built in collaboration to deliver a tried and tested integration.

“The collaboration with Avanti Systems further expands the Switch eco-system for customers who are looking to automate their print production workflow from job submission through to the delivery of printed products. Since manual touchpoints are reduced, jobs will flow efficiently and reliably through the print shop, making customers more productive which they will see reflected on their bottom line.,” said Wim Fransen, Managing Director Enfocus
