Nottingham-based specialist wide format print distributor ArtSystems has announced it will focus on the latest innovations in retail signage during Sign & Digital UK 2019.

HP, at SGIA 2018, will demonstrate new large format printing solutions and technologies designed to create new business opportunities for sign, banner, display, and wall décor printers with high-value applications.

French software company Caldera can confirm that it’s market-leading RIP, Caldera Version 11.2, has qualified for full certification for driving the HP Latex R series of printers. The HP RIP certification is awarded to differentiate RIP partners who reach a specific and superior level of integration, compatibility and performance with the HP device in question. Only third-party companies that can demonstrate conformity across a range of criteria are awarded HP Latex certified status. The certification recognizes that Version 11.2 can fully support HP Latex R series printers for functionalities including printing performance, media management, printer reporting, job generation, job management and application center integration.

HP have expanded its hybrid HP Latex R Printer Series with the R1000 Printer for rigid and flexible printing. Designed for a variety of hybrid applications including signage and displays, the growing portfolio offers choice, value, and versatility while featuring innovative technologies including HP Latex Rigid Printing Technology and HP Latex White Ink.

Onyx Graphics, Inc., a leading software solution provider for the wide-format printing industry, announced that its ONYX software was recently certified for the HP Latex R Series printer line, the first hybrid flatbed/roll-to-roll printer for rigid and flexible printing in one device using white latex ink. HP chose award-winning ONYX software last month during the FESPA Global Print Expo in Berlin to showcase the capabilities of the newly-unveiled HP Latex R2000 Plus printer with white ink technology.

HP announced its new Rigid Technology at the ISA Sign Expo in March, highlighting how customers will now be able to expand their offering into new, high-value applications while also opening fresh creative ideas and concepts for sign and display.

The Print Show will this year once again highlight the latest and greatest in wide-format print technology by featuring some of the leading brands from the global market, with HP set to use the event to showcase its new HP Latex R series in the UK for the first time.
