Leeds-based printing company Imageco has transformed its Holbeck-based headquarters with a range of renewable energy solutions to reduce its carbon output by more than 30,000 tonnes per year, making it one of the most sustainable buildings in the city.

As part of William Smith’s ongoing commitment to energy efficiency and cost savings, the recent installation of solar panels at its Barnard Castle manufacturing site, and at its distribution warehouse at Stainton Grove, will see an estimated saving in electricity costs of around 54 per cent a year.

Following in the footprints of the swissQprint Nyala flatbed printer, the new Karibu roll to roll printer is the latest model to undergo tests as specified by the ISO 20690 standard. The result once again: outstanding energy efficiency.
