Printing Industries of America (PIA) is please to announce the results of the 2019 Premier Print Awards, the world's most prominent international print competition. This year's competition featured 2,240 entries submitted for the judges' scrutiny, but only 110 were awarded the coveted Benny or Best in Category honors. Truly an international competition, submissions this year hailed from the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Paraguay, China, Taiwan, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates. To be honored with a Premier Print Award, submissions must exhibit truly superior print quality and exceptional craftsmanship.

Jim DeFife, VP Pressure-Sensitive Materials, Multi-Color Corporation has been chosen as the recipient of the prestigious R. Stanton Avery Global Achievement Award 2019. Judging for the annual Label Industry Global Awards, now in its 16th edition, took place on 5 June during the FINAT European Label Forum in Copenhagen. The panel of international judges considered entries for a total of six award categories and drew up a shortlist.

Only just unveiled, and swissQprint's first roll to roll printer is already a prizewinner: Karibu is the recipient of an EDP Award in the "roll to roll printer >320 cm" category. The award ceremony took place on the periphery of the Fespa 2019 trade fair in Munich, where Karibu celebrated its world première. At the FESPA 2019 exhibition in Munich, Mutoh has received an EDP award in the category “Best Wide-format Multipurpose Printer” for its 64” / 1625 mm wide ValueJet 1627MH Hybrid printer.
