Print industry recruitment specialist MTWO Search have announced that they are sponsoring the UK Graphic Awards’ Rising Star category for 2022.

The award recognises the achievements of those who have been in the wide-format print industry for less than 3 years, and is open for nominations from colleagues and managers.

Managing Director of MTWO Search, Matt Hanley is certainly looking forward to the event. He said, “I’ve personally been a supplier to the industry for over 10 years, but late last year I branched out alone and created MTWO Search. The UK Graphic Awards was our first event as a business, and I’m chuffed that this year we are coming back as a sponsor of the Rising Star Award”.

I’ve known Matt for almost 10 years. He introduced me to the world of wide-format when I joined him as a junior recruiter in the industry, so to be able to be a part of his first year in business and support him in getting his name in front of our brilliant audience is a real honour.”

Dan Tyler, founder of the UK Graphics Awards

He added “Matt’s passion for attracting more young blood into the industry is needed now more than ever. I really don’t think there could be a better business to support this particular category.”

The Rising Star award recognises individuals who have been in the industry for 3 years or less and have shown great potential and a natural flair for someone of their experience level. The category is open to all ages, and nominations can be made by the nominees’ managers or colleagues.

Commenting on his decision to sponsor, Matt added that “The industry has been in growing need of new blood, new talent for years, so for us to sponsor this award, that recognises those newcomers into the industry, is truly an honour”

The winner of the Rising Star award and 16 others will be revealed at the 2022 UK Graphic Awards gala dinner on October 5th at the Hilton Deansgate, Manchester.

Last year’s event was hailed a raging success. It was the night that brought the industry back together for the first time after the global pandemic. This year promises to be bigger and better. More categories, more projects being celebrated and new sponsors of the awards. It’s a night to celebrate our industry together.
