Imageco has risen to the challenge of coronavirus and used their innovation to design and create products to assist in the coronavirus pandemic including protective masks and sustainable safety signage.

Supporting the NHS

Although their expertise may be in wide-format print, the team at Imageco has rallied together and begun testing various ways their technological equipment and material supplies could be reworked to create PPE for front line workers. Using their Zund cutter and sewing facilities, they have been able to create masks, hand sanitising stations, social distancing POS and much more.

Imageco have already donated 50 protective masks to the Neuro Acute Ward at Leeds General Infirmary and 20 to Bywater Hall and Lodge care home. There is more currently in production to help protect vital team members who are at risk. They have pledged to prioritise the use of their machines for any NHS needs. Alongside this, they have donated ‘I support the NHS’ stickers for the team at St James’ to help them raise additional money for essential resources.

Imageco has been working in the industry for over 20 years and the NHS has been a long-standing client of theirs, refreshing numerous ward wings with inspiring graphics. So, in this time of need, they harnessed their capabilities to help work together.

Secure Supermarkets

Alongside their donations to the hospitals, Imageco has used their print expertise to create social distancing POS and graphics, hand sanitiser stations and anti-bacterial stickers to help supermarkets operate as safely as possible. Imageco has also ensured that the products produced are 100% recyclable where possible, so there will be no additional waste afterwards.

“I wanted us to use our creativity and technology to assist in the crisis” says Nathan Swinson-Bullough, Director of Imageco.

“It would be easy to sit back and do nothing. Our initial thoughts were ‘shall we fill our vans with toilet roll and deliver to the needy?’ Then we sat down as a team and really thought about creative ways that would benefit others while being able to sustain our business through this crisis. I saw balancing live work with product donations as a good path to choose.

“This is the least we can do; our thoughts go out to all the staff on the frontline and the families affected by this awful crisis.”

In difficult times, we must pull together.
