The G7 accreditation is an industry-leading set of best practices that recognises excellence and consistency in printing processes across all signage mediums, materials and substrates.
The accreditation helps the centre to deliver a superior service to its customers by creating a grayscale definition, via an ink calibration method, which ensures the desired grayscale pantone is achieved. Customers benefit from this attainment of exacting standards and consistency of reproduction, as they are able to confidently order the same sign on multiple occasions or have them produced on different substrates, and be assured that the colour variance, within each individual sign, is correct and consistent.
The award involves a six-week training, examination and qualification process, and serves as a stamp of approval of the centre’s commitment to excellence. The Kingston upon Thames centre joins three other FASTSIGNS Centres, Hammersmith, Leeds and Manchester that have already achieved the accreditation in 2018, with more centres hoping to follow suit in the coming months.
John Davies, FASTSIGNS UK managing director, said:
“All our centres work hard to produce an exceptionally high quality of work but an achievement of such a well recognised, industry code of excellence gives their customers further assurance that they are engaging with a company that is working at a gold standard.
“Over the coming months, a number of other centres in our UK network will also be working towards achieving their Idealliance G7 Master Qualification, in line with our commitment to aspiring to and delivering industry leading standards and quality. This type of accreditation is something we believe is important for not only our centres but also our customers too. A massive congratulations to the Kingston upon Thames centre for this recent success.”
Each centre that achieves the accreditation will retain it for 12 months, after which time, it must go through the accreditation process again, to ensure the high standards are consistently maintained.
FASTSIGNS Kingston upon Thames is also celebrating further success this year after receiving a glowing stamp of approval for its health and safety procedures by leading safety body, Safety Schemes In Procurement (SSIP).
