The PrintWeek Power 100 is an annual rundown of the print industry’s top 100 influential individuals. Robert Lockwood, CEO of the Taylor Bloxham Group is ranked at number 57 and is one of 21 new entries found on the list, following a year diversifying the company into new areas.
Robert was placed on the list by PrintWeek for ‘being pivotal in turning around the £27m business and continuing its aggressive drive for diversification’. Following a promotion to CEO from his former position as financial director, Robert has led the Taylor Bloxham Group to diversify into direct mail, point-of-sale and fulfilment in his first calendar year in the position.
“It’s an honour to be found on a list alongside some of the most powerful people in the print industry,” explains Robert. “2017 has been a challenging year but one that we have come out the other end of looking stronger than ever. We now have everything in place to make 2018, our 80th anniversary year, the best year yet.”
Following a factory fire in May, the newly appointed CEO had to formulate a plan to repair, invest and grow the company. A programme of investment to close 2017 has expanded operations to an additional site and has also set up a new division dedicated solely to direct mail. Investment has enabled the Group to more than double their capacity following the fire.
The Taylor Bloxham Group currently employs around 200 people across the four divisions which include Taylor Bloxham printing company, e-commerce division FastAnt, Instore design and point of purchase operation and the newly created direct mail and fulfilment brand Mailbox. The Group has warehouses based across Leicestershire.
