On September 17, 2007, Reto Eicher, Roland Fetting and Hansjörg Untersander registered the company swissQprint in the commercial register. They started the company with six people. The current CEO, Kilian Hintermann, was also there at the time. The following year, the team launched the first swissQprint flatbed printer, despite the financial crisis at the time.
Impressive growth
Meanwhile, swissQprint employs approximately 200 people. 130 people, including the founders, work at the headquarters in Kriessern. A further approximately 70 employees are active in subsidiaries in Germany, Spain, Belgium, the United Kingdom, the United States and Japan. The company has also continued to grow during the Covid-19 pandemic and has put development projects on track. The latest product, the high-end printer Kudu, was launched in May this year.
From Switzerland to the whole world
The product range currently consists of eight models: six flatbed printers and two roll printers. More than 1600 swissQprint machines are used worldwide. For sales and service, the six subsidiaries as well as more than 30 sales partners around the world are available. The Swiss headquarters remains responsible as the site for the development and production of the machines. Sales for the domestic Swiss market have also recently started from here.
