PSP’s Discover Digital at Zünd UK HQ
The first of the Zünd UK open days at the company’s St Albans technology showroom kicked off this week in conjunction with PaperlinX who invited a plethora of customers from all three PaperlinX companies, Robert Horne Group, Howard Smith Paper Group and PaperCo.
Over the three days, the exhibition showcased the latest print and finishing technologies, materials, techniques, choices and opportunities available to help printers to grow their businesses.
Credit must go to PaperlinX who really does know how to put on a good show, and moreover the company knows how to attract visitors to its regional Discover Digital road shows. The Zünd UK event was packed the entire time we were there with printers benefiting from a one to one consultation with the Group’s digital solutions specialists who shared their expertise and knowledge of the complete digital print workflow, from machine and material selection, through to finishing and packaging.
A vast array of consumables and substrates were made available for printers to try out alongside demonstrations showcasing the capabilities of the latest digital hardware and finishing equipment from manufacturers such as Zünd, Mimaki, VUTEk, Epson, Canon, HP, Seal, and Vivid. One industry commentator noted that the only thing missing from the line up was a Roland printer which would have closed the wide format loop.
Zünd’s premises are ideally suited to this type of micro event and it is evident that PSP’s today are quite prepared to attend these smaller, hands on micro shows where they are able to spend longer with the machinery and materials on display without interruption or distraction.
The next Zünd UK event is in conjunction with Océ on the 16th of October before concluding in November with VUTEk dealer CMYUK.
PaperlinX is planning its next Discover Digital event which is set to take place in Manchester during April 2013.
