Pixartprinting becomes Durst’s largest wide format installation

The Italian production site of Pixartprinting has become Durst’s largest wide format installation with 7 Durst 10 picoliter UV inkjet printers.
After the field test installation of the first roll to roll Rho P10 320R in May and of a flatbed Rho P10 200 the month after, both passed with flying colours, Pixartprinting confirmed the order for other five P10 systems: two other roll to roll Rho P10 320R were installed in June and three other flatbed P10’s with feeder and stacker will be installed this autumn.
The new Durst technology with its 10 picoliter print heads caught the attention of Pixartprinting when the P10 range was officially presented to the European market at Drupa, and thus the first roll to roll Pho P10 320R was installed in the Quarto D’Altino production department and, after just a few weeks, joined by the flatbed P10 200.
Pixartprinting’s production general manager Alessandro Tenderini says: “The roll to roll is an amazing machine. We are printing at full regime on banners and micro-perforated paper with astonishing results.”
The Rho P10’s Fine Art resolution is letting us explore new application fields. Small packaging, counter displays, but also new more niche products that can intrigue customers. For example, we launched a promotion offering cardboard bottle racks, a product that has gained high interest”.
Here’s what UK managing director Gary Peeling has to say about Pixartprinting from a British perspective.
The company has some 80,000 customers throughout Europe and receives an average of 3,800 online orders per day.
