Second HP Colour Inkjet Web Press for Symeta
| 06 December 2011

Symeta, part of Colruyt Group, with operations in Belgium, France and Luxemburg, is installing an HP T200 Colour Inkjet Web Press to sit alongside an HP T400 Colour Inkjet Web Press that was installed earlier this year.
The HP T200 press will go into Symeta's brand new and state-of-the-art 15,000 m2 production site in Sint-Pieters-Leeuw, near Brussels to support smaller, shorter-run applications than are currently run on the company’s HP T400.
With the new HP technology up and running, Symeta aims to expand the applications it provides to drive new levels of targeted direct marketing and transactional communications.
Symeta general manager Philip D'hooge explains: "Our vision for the future is to work with our customers to grow our one-to-one solutions in Europe. It's about sending the right message to the right person through the right channel, and at the right time. That's the concept. By combining the strengths of the latest digital printing technology from HP with bespoke, high-quality print and document management solutions, we're able to simplify and improve the way our customers receive, manage and send communications."
An additional feature of both presses that was of particular interest to Symeta is the HP Bonding Agent which allows Symeta to print onto low-cost, uncoated offset media. In this video below Francois Martin, HP’s marketing director for its Graphics Solutions Business describes how the HP T400 Color Inkjet Web Press offers customers the substrate and finishing flexibility that they need to be successful.
