Hybrid Services says it enjoyed a productive and very busy Sign & Digital exhibition with multiple product launches and the Mimaki JV400 latex printer range making headlines at the show – and featuring on a number of Hybrid’s resellers’ stands – therefore it was unsurprising that the new machine caught the attention of so many visitors to the exhibition.
Hybrid is Mimaki’s exclusive UK & Irish distributor and John de la Roche, Hybrid’s national sales manager, was in buoyant mood as the show drew to a close. “Our resellers have taken multiple orders for the new machines, so we’re delighted with the response to the product launches we made during the show. The new Mimaki latex printers have understandably captivated the commercial print, sign making and graphics sectors as it’s a solution that offers companies considerable revenue generating potential,” he said.
Graphic Display World was there to capture the moment with an on stand video interview with marketing manager Duncan Jefferies, but I was interrupted by this couple of likely looking lads who asked if they could have their photograph taken with me. I was flattered of course, seeing as I was also there to do a job, but my old mate Derek Pearson of Sign World was nearby with his camera so he kindly obliged the lads by taking the above picture.
It’s always good to remember who you are and where you came from, and I was surprised to hear that the one on the left of the photograph runs a little fish and chip shop in Manchester. So after exchanging a few pleasantries I sent them on their way with a handshake and the promise that if Derek sent me the picture I’d post it here on Graphic Display World and they could print it out and hang it on the wall in the chip shop. Now I know what Cat Deeley meant when she said that “being famous hasn't changed my perception of myself - I've just grown up.”
Duncan Jefferies also went on to say in closing that amongst all the excitement around the new product launches, Laura Hutchings of Silk Screen Advertising won Hybrid’s Spot the Ball competition – taking home a signed football jersey from Manchester United legends Arthur Albiston and Lou Macari who by all accounts were somewhere on the Hybrid stand.
