Written by Gareth Ward on 11 September 2012.

IFS Print Efficiently event to showcase Roland wide formatThe annual Print Efficiently event is set to take place in October at the IFS (Intelligent Finishing Solutions) showrooms in Perivale, Middlesex. Visitors will be able to see live demonstrations of the latest digital and litho printing technologies and automated finishing systems over a two-week period beginning on 8th October, including Roland DG’s VersaCAMM VS-540 and the VersaUV LEC-330.

Mat Drake, business manager for Commercial Print at Roland DG (UK) says: “As a production solution, wide format inkjet is an excellent way to supplement declining commercial print margins and this collaborative event is the perfect place for Roland to demonstrate how easily its wide format inkjet solutions are integrated efficiently into a typical commercial workflow.”

Print Efficiently provides commercial printers with an opportunity to witness the combined expertise of pre-press, press and post-press suppliers who will be on hand to showcase the most efficient production solutions with the latest technology across key sectors of the short-run, commercial printing sectors.

Very busy day today, lots to do, people to talk to, stuff to write up, admin to get done by deadlines. The boss? Oh, he's playing cricket.

Monday morning, get the important stuff done first and that is to block all mentions of Candy Crush Saga on Facebook. Phew.

Been kicked out of bed to the waiting room despite not being able sit down. But there's a poster I designed on the wall to look at.

About The Print Business

What does
Print Business
deliver?

Engaged readers. It’s as simple as that. The people who run print businesses read Print Business and they read it thoroughly.

Whatever subject we write about, through our pages we speak directly to the managing director of a typical commercial printer. What does he want to know about? What is important to him?

And also, what isn’t important to him? We get technical when we need to and frequently do. But quite often, the person who makes the buying decisions doesn’t necessarily want to know how many sheets per hour. He wants to know what difference it will make to his business. And Print Business tells him.

No other publication gets out on the street and visits printers, goes into their factories, sees how they work and speaks to them in their own language as often or as thoroughly as Print Business.

We tell the success stories of printers, how they did it, how they came to the decisions they did, what it means for them. And that is what our reader devours, every word.

Then he thinks about what he has read. He does a bit more research. He looks up the companies he has read about and the suppliers of the equipment they use. Because he has seen in our pages the equipment installed in companies like his, he can picture how it would work in his own.

When the Print Business reader enters the process to buy, he is already well informed, well researched and further down the line. Engaged, one might say.
