Offset printing is yesterday’s news claims Swiss transpromo specialist

Written by Gareth Ward on 23 August 2012.

Trendcommerce (Schweiz) AG, part of the Trendcommerce Group, St. Gallen, Switzerland, plans to install two HP T230 Inkjet Web Presses to fulfil the increasing demand for its transactional printing services and capitalise on new business opportunities.

“Offset printing is yesterday’s news,” states company founder, part owner and head of business management, Oliver P. Künzler (pictured). “With digital technology making it so easy to implement individual content, special offers or coupons, why wouldn’t a marketer choose to produce compelling, relevant content? Our customers recognise the importance of creating print that ensures they stand out from the crowd and our HP presses will enable us to help them achieve this.”

The company ordered the two Inkjet Web Presses at Drupa 2012 but says it was convinced of the added value, print quality and production benefits of HP’s inkjet presses long before the show.

The high-performance, compact HP T230 press offers fast duplex printing speeds up to 122 metres (400ft) per minute in colour and mono and, with a 520.7-millimetre (20.5inch) print width, provides the flexibility Trendcommerce (Schweiz) AG needs to support multiple applications on coated and uncoated media.

Künzler thinks the extra capacity provided by the new HP T230 presses will enable the company to enhance its product offering to existing customers as well as capture new business opportunities in the financial, insurance and retail sectors.

“Our already well-established security infrastructure enables us to target government organisations such as telecom, tax departments, and electric and water suppliers who send invoices each month to their customers and want to incorporate clever personalised content within these documents,” he says.

The company’s current product portfolio includes individual mailings sent to sensitive customer addresses, high-security data processing, sensitive print and packaging services for financial service industries and personalised marketing materials.

The company’s wide-format printing division, PrintOne AG, recently installed an HP Designjet L26500 and an HP Scitex LX600 Printer.

About The Print Business

What does
Print Business
deliver?

Engaged readers. It’s as simple as that. The people who run print businesses read Print Business and they read it thoroughly.

Whatever subject we write about, through our pages we speak directly to the managing director of a typical commercial printer. What does he want to know about? What is important to him?

And also, what isn’t important to him? We get technical when we need to and frequently do. But quite often, the person who makes the buying decisions doesn’t necessarily want to know how many sheets per hour. He wants to know what difference it will make to his business. And Print Business tells him.

No other publication gets out on the street and visits printers, goes into their factories, sees how they work and speaks to them in their own language as often or as thoroughly as Print Business.

We tell the success stories of printers, how they did it, how they came to the decisions they did, what it means for them. And that is what our reader devours, every word.

Then he thinks about what he has read. He does a bit more research. He looks up the companies he has read about and the suppliers of the equipment they use. Because he has seen in our pages the equipment installed in companies like his, he can picture how it would work in his own.

When the Print Business reader enters the process to buy, he is already well informed, well researched and further down the line. Engaged, one might say.
