When Northampton based Studio One was commissioned to supply hoarding boards to dress the perimeter fence surrounding the old post office site in Northampton, the company turned to PPB (formerly Proctors) for materials advice.

This project required a white matt product with excellent ink adhesion properties and PPB recommended using proBOND Platinum White. The perimeter fence is required for security and safety while the building is refurbished into the new Northampton International Academy School, and the 3mm thick proBOND Platinum White RAL 9016 in sheet sizes of 2440 x 1220 mm proved to be just the ticket.

Studio One Production 3The project was commissioned by Northampton County Council who required the hoarding to carry branding to promote the new academy, and as such the entire site required 38 1220 x 2440mm panels with a repeating pattern.

Studio One printed directly onto the panels using its Vutek GS3250 Pro wide format UV printer. These were then matt laminated for maximum impact and durability.

proBOND is a new addition to PPB’s product portfolio and has been specifically developed to offer a genuine high quality sheet whether it’s for short-term projects, or high end corporate identity signage.

According to Studio One commercial director Danny Golden, PPB helped by recommending the best substrate solution that would meet the exact requirements of a very specific brief. “We needed a strong, durable aluminium composite that printed and laminated without any difficulties. proBOND gave us a reliable solution that enabled us to turn this project around in 3-4 working days from site survey to print, lamination and installation,” he said.
