Wide format industry veteran Peter Davidson joins Landor

Digital Imaging distributor Landor UK has appointed industry veteran Peter Davidson as business and commercial director, a move to strengthen the UK sales operation and assist with European business growth.

Davidson has, ahem, well over 30 years business management experience in the graphic arts and digital imaging related industries. After initially teaching Graphic Display World's editor to operate a litho press and responsibly handle poisonous substances in the 1970’s, he went on to forge a stellar career in graphic arts sales where he held major roles in the development of both Encad in the UK and Scandinavia and at Colourgen where he was a principal player for more than a decade. He will now focus on future strategies that will ensure that Landor UK stays at the forefront of market needs.

“It was an easy decision taking on a lead role at Landor UK,” he says. “Being a market leader in digital wallpaper with Phototex, together with being recently appointed the European distributor for Marabu Liquid Lamination, positions us to help our inkjet customers make money in ever diverse and dynamic markets which is obviously very important in tough economic times.”

Managing director Derric Landor says: “Peter joining the team enables me to continue to find the next exciting products and partners for Landor UK. I’m confident that his wealth of knowledge and experience means our customers will be looked after as well as if I was doing it myself.”

Davidson’s message is clear: “To lead inkjet inspiration by taking innovative products and delivering them with market leading service,” he says. “Both Phototex and Marabu Liquid laminates are flagships of the Landor UK business and these are underpinned by extensive OEM and manufacturer branded products such as Rauch inkjet media and other leading inkjet hardware and consumables.”
